Debi works in our production cut & sew department. In her role as Head Seamstress/Production Coordinator, she works very closely with Cheryl in the creation of prototypes and samples, as well as dealing with our suppliers. It's Debi's job to ensure in-house prototypes are completed and approved, comfirming what products will be ready to go into production for the upcoming season, and maintaining the schedule for on-time delivery of our raw materials. Debi is a talented seamstress with over 15 years experience in the industry and loves hanging out in her cut-and-sew department where she reigns as queen.
Hans comes to the Organic Comfort Zone with over ten years experience as a regional sales and customer service manager for a major retail chain. He communicates effectively and enjoys talking with our customers to provide product knowledge and expertise. Hans takes charge in running our Organic Comfort Zone showroom, but he's quick to answer our phones and talk with customers. He has developed quite a fan base with many of them! Hans spent over a year in specialized training learning about the features and benefits of organic sleep systems and is extremely knowledgeable about our CozyPure® organic mattresses and organic bedding. His role as sleep consultant allows him to evaluate your specific needs and make recommendations to create your ideal bedroom sanctuary.
Cristina runs our warehouse and boy is she good. She oversees contracts with our shipping companies, and also manages inventory control. When our Product Development Team has finalized the production of goods, Cris assures that product is on our shelves and ready for shipment to our customers. Cris also handles customer service since she is very familiar with the specifications of each product and is responsible for inventory and product spec sheets. Cris also plays a crucial role in product packaging and outgoing shipments to assure our customers' satisfaction when receiving orders.
Joy assists as office staff and warehouse support and greatly reduces our workload by assisting all of us with various tasks and basic fundamentals. In addition, Joy is one of our most-used "cover girls" in our photo shoots and represents the friend-next-door personage of mid-40s good looks. She earned her degree in speech therapy and is determined to rid Cheryl of her heavy Northern accent. Good luck Joy!
Richard, Cheryl's husband, is returning to the company after an eight-year absence. Our very own "solar-man" will be the VP for our new alternative energy company, Go Solar Man. Richard developed and implemented the alternative energy for our future 6200sf location and will have a showroom devoted exclusively for consultation and sales to educate and inform about the many benefits of utilizing solar and wind as energy sources. As we like to say here at the Organic Comfort Zone: "Renewables Rule". When he is not consulting on alternative energy, Richard is also the go-to guy for government bids and contracts for products and services offered by our parent company, the Environmental Resource Outlet, Inc.
More than 50 talented people represent the administration and production team heading up operations at our Organic Mattress Factory located about 15 minutes from our showroom in Norfolk, Virginia. Experienced seasmstresses and craftspeople cut, sew, quilt, assemble, and expertly finish every CozyPure® mattress made-to-order, which is then packaged to ship direct to our customers. Our combined knowledge and expertise in the mattress and organic fiber industry is unparelleled, and the CozyPure® mattress collection provides the opportunity to exceed expectations for quality, comfort, and stream-lined production to produce the finest natural mattresses available anywhere in the USA.
Lastly, we consider our suppliers an invaluable extension of our company. We have partnerships with some of the largest, most respected, and experienced mills in the country and the world, and we value their knowledge to assist us when we are developing new products and need insight on the raw material usage. Together, we collaborate in research to create and produce materials and fibers that meet or exceed our eco-organic criteria, while also providing durability, quality and comfort in the end-product for our customers.
